The GAC Christmas Get-Together at the Guernsey Info Centre

Thursday 6th December 6.00-9.30pm

The Guernsey Information Centre and the Guernsey Arts Commission would like everyone to join them on the 1st Late Night shopping evening at the North Esplanade for all things creative & festive and the chance to do a spot of retail therapy. An open evening full of surprises, mince-pies, music and carols by the Salvation Army Band.

There’s an opportunity for everyone to see the Six of the Best exhibition, which showcases the best of the Grammar School, Elizabeth College, Ladies College and the College of Further Education final year shows in the greenhouse and join us for a glass of mulled wine!

The GAC are holding a creative, crafty and festive competition for all the younger visitors in the evening – the task is to decorate a Christmas tree decoration to hang on the GIC tree. We are going to take a picture of the finished entries which Father Christmas will judge and the winning entry will receive a creative prize! The winning design, along with all the others entered will be then put on the GAC website for everyone to see.

The GIC shop is a Santa’s Grotto of presents, stocking fillers and everything a family could want in the run up to Christmas, including (featuring the famous Guernsey Cow) a range of tea-towels, place-mats, chopping boards and aprons!

Also on sale are 2013 Calendars showcasing our beautiful Bailiwick at its best along with stunning paintings created by local artists, an amazing selection of books and DVD’s (all with a local theme) full of stories and memories all of which would make ideal presents!
