Trumpeter, Composer, DJ and Entrepreneur – @jayphelpsmusic has performed with some of the world’s top names. With an instantly recognisable warm and projecting trumpet tone, Canadian born Phelps is a household name on the Jazz scene in the UK and his presence as a DJ is steadily growing.
Phelps’ career has spanned over 20 years and he’s always searching for new endeavours which of late have included radio presenting (Jazz FM, Worldwide FM) and his music casting agency ‘SoulEndvr’ (working with Netflix, Amazon Prime, HBO, BBC).
2023 will see Phelps release his seventh album as a leader with Apple Music subsidiary label ‘Platoon’ and continue his Youtube documentary series ‘Ear to the Ground’ featuring artists from the Jazz scene both in the UK and beyond.
