Nicki is a Guernsey donkey who grew-up infatuated with fantasy and magic, often letting her imagination run wild. Her career choices and travel gave her the opportunity to indulge in her love of writing, as well as creating unique worlds to set her stories in and diverse characters to live in them.

Her debut novel - The Withering became the first story she chose to share on a wider stage, hoping that readers will enjoy her take on dystopian fantasy as much as she enjoys writing it. Set in Encaris, the world of her creation, where governments are corrupt and a mystical substance causes humans to suffer from an incurable ailment called the Withering, readers join Nicki's protagonist as he embarks on a journey to protect the person he cares about most after she experiences a traumatic event and triggers mage abilities. In Encaris, all magic and the Ar'encal race, which has innate magical abilities, are shunned or feared. When Nicki realised her tale was going to take more than one book, she created a fiery cliff-hanger and released book two, Reckoning. Immersing the reader in greater character development (something Nicki loves to focus on as a writer) and heightened stakes sets the stage for the last story in her Encia Trilogy, Uprising. Knowing her love affair for fantasy is very unlikely to subside, she is now planning whether or not to start a fresh or give readers a prequel or sequel!
