Join historian and author Rick Booth for a fascinating journey through time, uncovering the remarkable story of Guernsey County, Ohio. A land twenty times larger than the Isle of Guernsey but with a smaller population, carved out of the American frontier in 1810 by intrepid immigrants from the Channel Islands. This lecture explores the County's rich heritage, beginning with the harrowing 1806 voyage of the first Guernsey settlers and the contributions of these islanders and their descendants through the 19th and 20th centuries.
