The Fanny Davies International Piano Series 26/27 Season

We are delighted to announce the 2026–27 season of the Fanny Davies International Piano Series at St James, Guernsey – three concerts and workshops showcasing internationally acclaimed pianists for the enjoyment and benefit of our community and young students.

Harry the Piano (07 October 2026): “His phenomenal talent, charm and wit are a delight” (Stephen Fry)
Join Paul Harris, known as “Harry the Piano,” and praised by Classic FM as “one of the world’s great improvisors,” for an exciting and unique evening of piano music. A prolific musician, Harry has performed with musicians from Clare Rutter to David Bowie, and for audiences including HRH King Charles III and HM the Queen. His quasi-improvisatory programme will end with the chance for the audience to request ‘any tune changed into any style!’

Rose McLachlan (03 February 2027): From a family of musicians, Rose McLachlan is establishing herself as one of the most exciting young British pianists. A prize-winner in numerous national and international competitions, Rose has performed with – among others – the BBC
Concert Orchestra and the Hallé, and has appeared on numerous BBC Radio 3 broadcasts. She is currently a student at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Tom Hicks (02 June 2027): Guernsey-born pianist and artistic director of this series, Tom Hicks, returns to St James for a programme entitled “Fantasies and Dreams.” Praised for his “brilliantly evocative” playing (International Piano), Tom balances a busy concerto, recital, and chamber music schedule with his position as Director of Piano at the College of Charleston.

Concerts begin at 19:00: tickets £15 for adults and free for Under 18s.
Workshops run from 16:00–17:15 and are free to observe – all are welcome and there’s no need to purchase a ticket.
