The Sound Summer Sessions see the return of the very popular SOUND Craft Mentor sessions at St James! Covering all aspects of music performance, promotion, songwriting and even sound and light, the sessions are free to young people between 11 and 21 years old. The format is that of a very relaxed group session with two mentors and a safeguarding supervisor present.
what to expect
~ Group sessions of up to 20 people.
~ Different sessions concentrate on different subjects and some of the content will be decided in the opening discussion with the students present.
~ A relaxed, fun, informal learning experience, with great mentors.
~ A safe place to be as good or bad as you think you are.
~ The opportunity to take what you learn and use it at St James in the future.
~ An excellent end of session party at the end of August.
what not to expect
~ There is NO one to one tuition on how to play an instrument
~ Parents or guardians cannot sit in or hang around
~ Any books, tests, or playing from written music
~ Scores, rankings, results, reports or notes
