SkySkrapers, Charlie Holmes on bass and Barney Bean on drums, took the St James audience by storm at their debut gig back in 2020 just before Lockdown 1.Expect grinding riffs, pulsating rhythms and layers of fuzz.
“While the pair let their music do the talking their performance was captivating throughout as they worked together to create a huge sound that really had a swing.” – Tom Girard, BBC Introducing
Support comes from Guernsey-based sound-mangler Flexagon, who opens the evening with a rare live performance – his first in nearly six years. Expect an epic atmospheric live show with a special guest or two. Flexagon will perform music from his forthcoming ambient album, due out later this year, building into more upbeat material. This third album is the follow-up to 7 Nocturnes East, released in 2020.
After performing live, Flexagon will head behind the decks to play the blend of eclectic, upbeat and psychedelic sounds he’s known for. Expect to dance!
‘Flexagon’s soothing brand of organic electronica proves utterly beguiling and rather touching’ – Bob Fischer, Electronic Sound Magazine.
