The National Trust of Guernsey: Courtyard Concert at the Folk & Costume Museum with Normandy ensemble ‘Lihou’

Celebrate the shared musical heritage of the Channel Islands and Normandy with a special courtyard concert at the Folk and Costume Museum on Saturday 3 July 2027, from 3pm to 5pm.

Featuring Lihou, a group of accomplished musicians based largely in Normandy and led by Yvon Davy of Association La Loure, this performance brings to life the rich traditions of the English Channel coast.

Known for their historically informed interpretations, Lihou weave together evocative melodies and stories rooted in centuries of island and coastal culture. Set within the charming, sheltered courtyard of the museum, the setting offers excellent acoustics and an intimate atmosphere, making it a memorable experience for all ages.

UK-based musician James Dumbelton, a returning performer at the museum, will also guide audiences through the origins and stories behind the music, adding depth and insight to this unique cultural event.

Tickets will be available on the gate, with pricing to be confirmed closer to the time. Please note this is an outdoor event and is weather dependent.
