SAC: Gelli Plate Printing Workshop with Jill Herschel

This year, in addition to the exhibition, Sarnia Arts and Crafts Club have organised a full programme of artist demonstrations and workshops!

In this hands-on workshop you will be making mixed media prints without a press. The gel plates used in this technique are made of a special kind of flexible plastic which contains mineral oils. The surface is super-sensitive so textures and shapes are easy to print. We will be using acrylic paints on paper and fabric.

This is a fun, very easy and quick process which can be unpredictable and quite addictive...

You should go home with several prints which could be made into greetings cards or small pictures.

(The wearing of old clothes and/or bringing an apron is recommended for this workshop)
