4 Week Course, Starting Friday 5th May, 6-8pm
If you learnt to crochet long ago or have been struggling to teach yourself, this is just the workshop you’re looking for to get all the basics in place and make a solid foundation to build on.
You will learn the basic stitches and techniques, starting off, different stitches, placements and directions, changing colour fastening off, increasing/decreasing, mostly working straight, getting to know how NOT to lose or gain stitches, and by week 2, making a granny square.
The following 2 weeks you will learn things like working in circles, edging and reading crochet patterns and abbreviations., as well as more complex stitches and shapes and how to read charts, enabling you to tackle a variety of simple projects on your own. You’ll also do some work on amigurumi style crochet (tight, shaped single crochet good for making dolls/toys). Lydia keeps classes small to ensure she can support everyone individually.
What’s included in the price?
Crochet hook.
Wool for the first session.
Over 8 hours tuition in a calm and relaxing venue.
The course is run in four separate sessions so you have chance to digest and practice between sittings!
