Introduction to Oil Painting with Tim Gaudion

In this 4 week introduction to painting class you will learn about painting materials and equipment, colour mixing, composition, form.

Each week there will be a live paint-along session with a very talented local artist, Tim Gaudion who demonstrate painting techniques whilst students join in. You will explore a variety of techniques, colour and composition throughout. During the following classes students will be able to start to develop their own painting style and Tim will be on hand throughout to offer help and guidance.

This class is ideal for anyone wanting to start painting, or for those with experience who want to learn new techniques.
All materials will be provided for the first week (If students do have their own materials they can bring these along).

Bringing a sketchbook or note pad is recommended to make notes.
An info sheet on materials will be handed out during the first class and Tim would recommend that people don’t purchase anything until after they have started the class and experimented with the materials provided.

Please note that we require a minimum of 8 participants for the class to go ahead.
