Guernsey Literary Festival Event
Jilly Chadwick in conversation with Steve Foote
Jilly Chadwick is a former Fleet Street journalist who returned to her native Guernsey where she had always wanted to write a novel, and began Travelling Light but left it sitting on her laptop for four years as a series of difficult life events got in the way. During the first lockdown she finally found her motivation and the time she needed to finish her book. She based it in Antigua, her happy place, and created four characters who became friends. Come along and hear Jilly in conversation with publisher Steve Foote about the experiences that led to the book and the therapeutic value of writing to take your mind off the bad times.
