3-Week Lino Cutting & Printmaking Course
Discover the joy of lino cutting in this relaxed, hands-on three-week course designed for beginners and those looking to build their printmaking skills. Over three sessions, you’ll learn essential carving and printing techniques, explore creative mark making, and produce a series of beautiful prints to take home.
Week 1 – Single-Colour Lino Print (Mark Making & Fundamentals)
We begin with the basics: how to design, safely carve, and print a simple one-colour lino block.
You’ll experiment with different tools and mark-making techniques to create texture, contrast, and expressive lines in your design. By the end of the session, you’ll produce your first printed edition.

Building on the first week, you’ll design and carve a two-piece lino block that fits together to create a bold, layered two-colour print.
This session focuses on planning colour combinations, and achieving clean, crisp multi-colour prints.

By the end of the course, you’ll have gained confidence in design, carving, and printmaking techniques—and created a collection of original lino prints showcasing your new skills.
This workshop takes place at our studio on Ruette Braye for 3 weeks starting on Monday 26th January from 6pm-8:30pm
