Returning for its 7th year, Guernsey Arts are now accepting submissions for the annual Guernsey Arts Open.
The Guernsey Arts Open is an annual exhibition showcasing the talent and diversity found within the arts community across the Bailiwick of Guernsey.
Each year has seen an increase in the quality of work submitted. Whilst the Guernsey Arts Open is exhibited in the George Crossan Gallery, artists working in all styles and mediums are encouraged to submit their work. Previous submissions include but are not limited to painting, illustration, sculpture, graphic design, fashion, music, animation, crafts and much much more. The Guernsey Arts Open also welcomes submissions from local students and artists under the age of 18, with this category having its own award.
Each year, the submissions for the Guernsey Arts Open are selected by a panel of judges, featuring the previous year's ‘Judges’ Choice’ winner. Last year's ‘Judges’ Choice’ winner Olympia McEwan will be assisting with selecting this year's pieces for display, alongside a panel of guest judges from the Visual Arts community.
The 2026 Guernsey Arts Open will close on 21 December. Artworks will then be available for purchase until the end of the day 23 December. Any artworks purchased as part of the exhibition will be wrapped and ready for collection for new owners in time for the festive period.
Submissions to the 2026 Guernsey Arts Open are limited to 1 per person (3 Artworks).
Please note that we will not accept any form of AI-generated artwork. If we suspect generative AI has been used, we reserve the right to remove the piece from your submission.
The deadline for submissions is the 16th of October.
