Think & Drink

A new event is coming to a pub near you on Tuesday, the 25th of August!

Marketing and design studio Segment are excited to announce the start of Think & Drink, and they’d love to tell you more about it. 

Guernsey is full of people who know fascinating things: about the sea, the law, the past, the brain, the stars, the state of the world. Most of them never get asked to talk about it outside their day job, and most of us would happily listen if it didn't involve a conference badge.

Think & Drink puts the two together. Short, engaging talks by people who really know their subject, given in a pub rather than a lecture hall. No jargon, no slides for the sake of slides, and no homework: the expertise stays up front with the speakers, and the rest of us just bring the curiosity. Ideas worth hearing, told well, with a drink in your hand.

The launch night is at the Golden Lion, and after that the venue may move around the town. 

We start at 7pm and we wrap up around 9:30pm, though nobody rushes you out of the bar. Between and after the talks there's time to put questions to the speakers and get into it with the people around you. 

Entry is free. Tickets are released on Eventbrite ahead of each night.
