The Voice of Thaïs
A documentary about Elena Jordi, the first woman that directed a film in Spain. Using a female voiceover, photographs and archive footage, the documentary is a biographical portrait of a woman who thrived against all odds. While being a successful actress in Barcelona, she decided to make a film called Thaïs, the only film she directed. Interviews with specialists and family members accompany the viewer to discover who this woman was, becoming, in the end, a reflection about our cultural and human heritage. - by David Casals-Roma / 86 minutes / 2021
