The Baghdaddies’ exuberant and rampant brand of world music is an exhilarating cocktail of Balkan melodies, ska and l]Latin grooves and sizzling brass played with furious energy and theatrical humour, making them as unforgettable on stage as they are when performing as wandering brass troubadours.
This March they are back for their third gig at St James, and we just can’t get enough of them. For those who haven't seen them yet, here is an excerpt of Tom Girard’s review of their 2019 show at St James:
“Ending with a kind of surf/ska hybrid number it wasn’t long before they were back for an encore that ended with them heading back off stage to busk in amongst the people, even taking up place behind the bar at the back of the room bringing the night to a close on a high and with the audience really still wanting more!”
Support comes from local band Russell and the French Boys.
