Thirty singers from the Kantorei Biberach choir will be travelling to Guernsey at the end of July to join with Guernsey Chamber Choir, other island singers, youngsters from the Music Centre Girls’ Choir and an orchestra to give a performance with nearly 100 performers of Karl Jenkins’ ‘The Peacemakers’ in the presence of H.E. the Lt. Governor at
St Stephen’s Church on Sunday 31st July at 7.45p.m. Refreshments will be served at 7p.m.
Entry is free – retiring collection. Parking is available at The Ladies’ College. It would be so appreciated if we could support and welcome our visitors to the island at this concert.
‘The Peacemakers’ is a poignant piece of about 70 minutes with a colourful and exciting orchestration that is dedicated to the memory of all those who have lost their lives during armed conflict, in particular, innocent civilians. This seems apt not only for Biberach and Guernsey but also at the current time with conflicts around the world including Ukraine.
