Rosanne Guille ‘En Plein Air’ Exhibition

The new exhibition by Rosanne Guille MA (RCA) entitled ‘Rosanne Guille ‘En Plein Air’, showcases her latest en plein air paintings completed this year.

Rosie grew up in Sark where her interest in painting was first sparked. In the 1990's she studied Natural History Illustration and Ecological Studies at Bournemouth and then the Royal College of Art. 

Exhibitions include the Society of Wildlife Artists and Royal Miniature Society and her work is in collections around the world.

She is best known for her work with the International non-profit organisation, the Artists for Nature Foundation.  In 2011/12 she organised Art for the Love of Sark; a project which brought 20
renowned landscape and wildlife artists to work in Sark to highlight the Island's unique way of life and its fragility through film, book and exhibitions.

In 2019, Rosie moved to Guernsey where she is inspired by the stunning nearby west coast beaches and headlands.  She has used this fresh start to try new mediums and now works almost solely in oil.

For this exhibition, ‘Rosanne Guille ‘En Plein Air’’, Rosie brings together her love for sketching and painting en plein air. Since January she has been working in all the Islands of the Bailiwick and her inspiration has been drawn from hours spent in nature soaking up the changing light and colours, distilling them into paintings which she hopes capture the essence of her surroundings.

The exhibition is at the Art at the Park Gallery from Tuesday 23rd of July until Friday 16th August at 2pm.

The Gallery is open daily from 10am until 5pm, is free entry, access friendly and also has the Museum shop.
