Pottery Wheel Taster Session

A 1 hour experience, with up to 10 minutes on a wheel to throw your own bowl from a pre-centred ball of clay plus decorating time.

Ideal for everyone: individuals, couples, families of any age. Children under 7 will need a responsible adult to help throughout the session.

Support will be on hand as you try to get to grips with throwing a pot – hopefully not across the room! Activity includes making clay shapes to decorate your bowl and painting with bright coloured glazes before leaving your bowl to be fired.

Great for anyone who’s had a yearning to have a go on a potter’s wheel or for when you’d like to give a unique and special gift!

What’s included?

Your experience starts on the potter’s wheel to ‘throw’ a bowl from a ball of clay with help from our potter, this usually takes about 10 minutes before you move on to decorating and glazing your newly made bowl.

Afterwards your thrown and decorated bowl is allowed to dry thoroughly before being fired (can be collected 6-8 weeks later).

Includes all materials, use of tools, equipment, materials, glazes for painting and firing of one bowl.

The whole experience takes up to one hour (10 minutes throwing and as long as you need for decorating/glazing)
