Contemporary photography meets classical music
Following the success of Photo-Symphony 2025, this spectacular live event celebrating photography and music returns to St James on Saturday 3rd October 2026.
Experience a unique and inspiring fusion of contemporary photography and classical music.
Photo-Symphony presents a programme of photography projections on a giant screen accompanied by a full symphony orchestra (the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra) performing live music. Prepare to be inspired and emotionally involved by a specially curated programme by artistic director Jean-Christophe Godet and musical director and conductor Jean Owen.
The work of both international and local photographers will be accompanied by music from composers including Beethoven, Brahms, Pärt, Ravel and Saint-Saëns, as well as Malcolm Arnold's Grand, Grand Overture, scored for full orchestra, three vacuum cleaners, a floor polisher and four rifles!
This year, for the first time, musicians from Orchestre Symphonique du Conservatoire de Rennes will join the Guernsey Symphony Orchestra.
Don’t miss this incredible evening. Book your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
