In their annual Summer Concert and Leavers’ Concert, Guernsey Music Centre students showcase their hard work with an evening of varied and entertaining music.

The Guernsey Youth Orchestra will perform Brahms’ ‘Hungarian Dance Number 5’, Glazunov’s ‘Song of the Minstrel’ featuring Molly Robinson on cello, and the overture from Wagner’s ‘Die Meistersinger’. The Concert Wind Band will feature music from the stage musical Wicked, ‘John Williams Swings’ and Rodrigo’s ‘Concerto de Aranjuez’ featuring Harry Childs on flugel horn. The performance will also feature a selection of music by the Guernsey Youth Choir including ‘I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside’arr. Andrew Carter, ‘The Long Day Closes’ by Arthur Sullivan and ‘YMCA’ arr. Charles Beale.
