Join Guy Hands for an after-dinner talk at the St Pierre Park Hotel as he speaks about his book The Dealmaker, of which The Times said, ‘The Dealmaker must be the only book about private equity that reads like a thriller.’
Guy will give a frank account of how a severely dyslexic child who struggled at school went on to graduate from Oxford and become a serial entrepreneur. Taking you inside the previously very secretive world of private equity, Guy will explain how this multi-billion-pound sector operates and what opportunities it offers, as well as giving an appraisal of the huge deals he has done and the one that almost bankrupted him as a global financial crash loomed on the horizon. Finally, he will talk about how Covid got him to reassess his life and how Guernsey provided the sense of peace he needed.
Ticket price includes a two-course dinner and talk. Option to book a table of 10 for £600.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to GROW.
Tickets: £60
Location: St Pierre Park Hotel
