Guernsey Art Networks hosts a monthly skillshare session at The Chamber of Commerce in the Inner Market.
Print and Stitch is run by local artist Jenny Mahy. You will use readily available materials to make simple printing blocks that you can use with acrylic paints to print on fabric. You will use this technique to create a background of leaf shapes on calico.
You will then cut a simple bird shape from scraps of assorted fabrics and stitch this onto the printed calico backgrounds. No knowledge of fancy stitches is required, but it helps if you can thread a needle.
Location: Guernsey Chamber of Commerce
Date: Tuesday 4th October
Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm
All materials will be provided.
Ticket price: £5 - £25
