THRILLING COURTROOM DRAMA TAKES CENTRE STAGE IN GADOC’S UPCOMING PRODUCTION OF AGATHA CHRISTIE CLASSIC
GADOC’s production of Agatha Christie’s ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ opens at
Beau Sejour theatre later this month, bringing Guernsey audiences right into the
dark heart of a thrilling murder trial in 1950s London.
Leonard Vole is being tried for the murder of a wealthy woman, and legendary
lawyer Sir Wilfrid Robarts has chosen to represent him. Unfortunately, Leonard’s
alibi depends on the testimony of his wife Romaine, who may not be the best
witness in court. Prepare to witness the twists, tension and revelations in this
character-driven play from the mastermind behind ‘Murder on the Orient Express’
and ‘Death on the Nile’ as we come to the conclusion: is Leonard innocent, or is he
guilty?
Ethan Hitchon plays the murder suspect Leonard Vole, Danny Barker plays defense
lawyer Sir Wilfrid, and Dani Robin plays Leonard’s wife Romaine.
‘Witness for the Prosecution’ is directed by Michael Sullivan. It is his second
directorial project this year, following on from GADOC’s hugely successful Easter
musical ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ which was staged at Beau Sejour in April.
This amateur production of ‘Witness for the Prosecution’ is presented by
arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
