Jersey Arts Centre and Guernsey Arts are calling on Channel Island artists from both Bailiwicks to be part of our island-wide Fox Open Art Competition 2025. Winning and selected artworks will be exhibited at Jersey Arts Centre and The George Crossan Gallery Guernsey.
The Fox Open Art Competition, sponsored by JJ Fox International Ltd, is now in its 43rd year, and has featured local artists such as Jason Butler, Kay Ara, Ian Rolls and Kevin Pallot.
This year artists can enter online by completing our online application form and submitting photographs of their artwork. Our judge will make a selection from the photographs then choose the winning works in person.
Online forms can be found here: https://form.jotform.com/250412558565358
This year’s prizes total £2,000 and will be awarded to Channel Island-based artists who, in the opinion of the judge, have produced the most original work of art. This year’s prizes are £1,000 for the overall winner, £500 for the winner of the Jock Russell Award for 12 to 18 year olds and prizes of £100 for 5 highly commended artists. The competition is open to artists who are resident in the Bailiwick of Jersey, Bailiwick of Guernsey and who are aged 12 and over.
Entrants may submit up to two works and it costs just £5. If you’re a student, then you only have to pay £1 to enter your piece(s)!
Having trouble with the online entry form? Guernsey artists will be able to bring their artwork to the George Crossan Gallery on Wednesday 3 September between 3pm and 6pm where a member of staff will be on hand to assist.
This year’s Judge is Tom Wood. He will be exhibiting his own work in the Berni Gallery in the run up to the competition exhibition – make sure to check it out!

The closing date for entries is 5pm Tuesday 9 September 2025.
