Electric Footprints is a Jazz-Hiphop crossover group formed of three in demand London session players, Harry Pope, Joe Downard and James Beckwith. Over the past ten years they have been compatriots in pop sessions, film scores, jazz and hiphop projects and most recently their long standing improvised residency at Old St Records in Shoreditch, London. This long standing relationship, alongside their wide span of influences results in a live set that is free flowing, eclectic and always focused on heavy, dirty grooves. Previously they have released three albums under the umbrella of Pianist James Beckwith’s solo project.
Members freelance credits include: Jose James, Waaju, Eddi Reader, Jackson Mathod, Sharky, Ellie Dixon, Nubya Garcia, MC Dizraeli, Chelsea Carmichael, Judi Jackson, Alfamist, Charlie Allen, Neue Graffik Ensemble, Myele Manzanza and many many more. The three also collaborated on improvised score to the feature film “A Pretty Red Dress”, which premiered at the BFI.
