Since beginning his stand-up career in 1998, and winning the The Daily Telegraph Open Mic Award a year later, Danny has continued to build on his stand up success in the UK, with 10 return visits to the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2014, his show ’12 Nights 12 Charities’ raised £75,000 for local Edinburgh charities. This was followed up with critically acclaimed sell out World Tours.
But his success at home tells only a small part of the story. As probably the most travelled comedian working in the world today, Danny’s unique brand of story-telling and razor sharp wit has been described as “effortlessly funny” and “the stand up equivalent of Bill Bryson”.
In a relatively short period of time, Danny has established himself as one of the biggest selling comedians in Canada, Australia and New Zealand as well as in his home country of Scotland. Danny has also performed three times on ‘Live At The Apollo’, which he was invited to host last year. He has also featured on the ‘The Late Show with David Letterman’ and has recorded a highly prestigious one-hour Comedy Central Special entitled ‘Subject To Change’.
Hosting this show is Stephen Grant. A repeat award winner of Best UK Compere, Stephen is one of the hardest working comedy performers and writers in the UK. He is the host of the Krater Comedy Club at Komedia and is a regular headliner at The Comedy Store in Leicester Square. His speed and dynamism create a magical energy which has audiences rapt and hanging onto his every word.
