Clameur Du Cinéma is screening Walker (1987) by cult film maker Alex Cox as part of the Have You Seen..? film series.
Walker is Alex Cox's unconventional retelling of the life of William Walker, a 19th century American mercenary leader who became the president of Nicaragua.
This is a characteristically bold film from one of Britain's truly punk filmmakers, featuring a strong central performance from Ed Harris and a soundtrack by Joe Strummer.
Wynter Tyson, the founder of Clameur Du Cinéma, said “Walker is one of the most individual films to come out of the American studio system during the Regan era. It’s an odd, fascinating movie that uses a number of unconventional techniques to get it’s message across.”
