Clameur Du Cinéma is screening the epic 90’s crime drama Heat at Beau Cinema, Guernsey’s biggest screen.
Released in 1995, Heat is considered one of the greatest crime films ever made. Directed by Michael Mann, the film follows a professional thief (Robert De Niro) and the detective (Al Pacino) on his trail.
In addition to the pairing of Pacino and De Niro (appearing together on screen for the first time), Heat features one of the most impressive casts ever put together and, in the central bank heist, one of the most memorable action set pieces committed to film.
Wynter Tyson, the founder of Clameur Du Cinéma, said “Heat is one on the biggest films of the 90’s and it’s brilliant that, after 26 years, we can bring it bank to Guernsey’s biggest screen.
Mann’s epic scope and spectacle are second to none but what makes the film truly great are the characters, the melodrama and, of course, a conversation in a coffee shop.”
