'Come and join in at the Renoir Tea Garden where there will be a brief talk and demonstration in traditional lettering styles along with a lesson in how to construct a simple script alphabet. You’ll have a go at some simple pen drills and get a feel for the breathing and repetition required to add rhythm, consistency and enjoyment to your own handwriting style. There will be a variety of tools, pens and inks for you to have a go with.
You’ll go away with a glass framed initial which you’ve created and adorned in the class, to hang at home or gift to someone. You’ll also leave with a deeper understanding of how scripts are formed which will help you practice effectively at home.'
