Afro Fusion Weekender

Welcome to the first African Fusion Weekender at St James. Prepare for an explosion of Afro Pop styles, including Afro Beats, Amapiano and Bongo, brought to you by well-known African music stars.

Experience Friday's headliner Kanda Bongo Man live at St James! The man who single-handedly gave the world the infectious Kwasa Kwasa Dance; he is one of the most famous world musicians and is one of the first pioneers of Soukous music. Having toured Europe extensively, Kanda Bongo Man performs many festivals, including the Huge Live 8: Africa Calling event in 2015, in Womad Festival.

Joining the line-up on both days are Dubafrique, an incredible group of African Dancers and Drummers who will really get the show going. Dubafrique, originally from Kenya, perform their show wearing authentic African costumes, delivering a cultural experience like never before seen.

Spinning his tunes on both nights is DJ Dubwise, joing us from London.
