Guernsey Arts is pleased to announce the forthcoming solo exhibition of artist and tattoo artist Kaya Ozard, ‘Adorned: A Body of Work’, opening to the public on the 30th October. This exhibition will run at the Greenhouse Gallery until the end of 2026.
The exhibition presents a body of personal artwork by Kaya, bringing together work developed beyond the tattoo studio and offering an opportunity to experience Kaya’s artistic practice in a dedicated gallery setting.
Educated on island at the College of Further Education, Kaya returned to Guernsey in 2017 after completing a degree in fine art at Central Saint Martins in London. She creates across various mediums, with work varying from tattooing and painting to drawing and sculpture. This exhibition marks Kaya’s first solo show.
As a tattoo artist, Kaya’s creative practice is closely connected to the body, line, form and personal expression. This exhibition provides a different context for that practice, allowing the work to exist independently on the gallery wall and inviting audiences to consider the ideas, imagery and processes behind it.
“The exhibition brings together the diverse themes, styles, and techniques I work with every day in the studio as an artist and tattooist. The work blends familiar tattoo imagery and pattern with subtle modern touches, exploring decoration both on and off the body. I’m delighted to exhibit at The Greenhouse Gallery and really grateful to Guernsey Arts for their support in bringing this show together.” - Kaya Ozard, Artist
Presented by Guernsey Arts, the exhibition forms part of Guernsey Arts’ ongoing commitment to providing a platform for local artists and creating opportunities for audiences to engage with contemporary creative work.
