Reflections on Occupation

Here you will see the final pieces chosen from an Open Competition, open to islanders reflecting on the Occupation 1940-1945. The exhibition is in conjunction with the Heritage Festival and the timing of the release of the Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society film.

Life & Work of Desmond Bagley

An exhibition about the life and work of the English thriller writer Desmond Bagley material, taking place at the Guille-Allès Library. Including a rare early annotated draft typescript, an unrealised screenplay and his early published fantasy and science fiction works. Other highlights are first editions, original cover art, uncorrected proofs and foreign editions of his novels, and photographs which include portraits by Guernsey photographer Graham Jackson.

Cafe St James - Cafe Club

Arts Sunday is Guernsey's ONLY arts focussed FREE event, on the town seafront. Over 100 stall holders, 7 stages of theatre and drama, dance and music. Teaming up with School of Popular Music and MIND Guernsey to celebrate Express Yourself, promoting creativity for positive mental health. Come along! It's ALWAYS awesome.

The Mikado - Concert

A near farce about the abuse of power and finally love conquering all. Nanki-Poo, son of the Mikado of Japan, has fled his father's imperial court to escape marriage with Katisha, an elderly lady. Disguised as a travelling musician, he earlier played on Titipu and met and fell in love with Yum-Yum. The town is run by Ko-Ko and the only other civil servant Pooh Bah - Lord High Everything. Les Beaucamps GCSE Art

Les Beaucamps GCSE Art Exhibition 'Look, Explore and Enjoy our Art & Design!' An exhibition to celebrate the work of GCSE Art graduates of 2018 from Les Beaucamps School. A wide range of work on show from drawings, paintings, photography, mixed media and sculpture. Free admission in the Founders Room. Open 9am - 5pm on 14 & 15 June 10am - 12noon on Saturday 16 June.

South Pacific in Concert

West End legend Dave Willetts (Phantom of the Opera, Les Miserables) leads an all star cast including Anita Louise Combe and Rustie Lee in Milton Morrissey's 10th anniversary production, South Pacific in concert. Also featuring a full professional cast of performers and a stunnning 20 -piece orchestra, this concert production brings to life some of musical theatre's most loved and recognisable songs: I'm Gonna Wash that Man Right Outta my Hair, Bali hai, Youger than Springtime, Honey Bun, There's Nothing like a Dame and of course Some Enchanted Evening. En Plein Air Art Competition

Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club invite all artists over the age of 16 to take part in their annual 'En Plein Air' painting competition being held this year at The National Trust of Guernsey's Les Caches Farm, Jubilee Walk and Fields on 19th June. The winner will receive a £100 cash prize and have their name inscribed on the 'En Plein Air' Trophy which will be presented to them by the club's Patron, Lady Corder at the Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club Exhibition in July. Entrants must bring their chosen media (canvas/board/paper etc) to Les Caches Farm, Le Gouffre at 9.30am on Tuesday 19th June where it will be officially stamped and their entry of £5 per media (£3 for SA&C Club Members) will be taken. You then have until 4.30pm to paint from any vantage point within the designated area. The winning painting chosen by the judges together with all the other entries will then be exhibited at Les Caches Farm from Wednesday 20th - Friday 22nd June when the public will also have an opportunity to vote for their favourite. 'En Plein Air' Art Exhibition

Following on from the Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club's 'En Plein Air' Painting competition (taking place on 19th June) there will be an exhibition of all the entries including the winner chosen by the judges at Les Caches Farm, Le Gouffre between Wednesday 20th June - Friday 22nd June. The Exhibition will be open from 10am - 4pm daily and there will be an opportunity for the public to vote for their favourite entry. Members of the Sarnia Arts & Crafts Club will also be painting at the exhibition and available to answer any questions about the club or their forthcoming events.
