The Guernsey Arts Commission is committed to developing, promoting and supporting the arts in Guernsey.
Community Arts Development Manager
The Guernsey Arts Commission is looking for a self-motivated individual with a commitment to lead, deliver and strategically develop the GAC’s community arts programme for Guernsey. This role is pivotal to the programme’s growth in providing wider arts opportunities for those who are disaffected and disadvantaged. Several years’ experience of working in community arts is essential, as is the ability to lead, maintain and develop the GAC’s community arts team (paid and volunteer). This role will also require working alongside other charitable agencies while brokering new partnerships with sponsors and supporting organisations. A crucial part of the work will be out of office hours although the Community Arts Development Manager will work very closely with the Arts Development Team at the Guernsey Information Centre where central services such as the website are maintained. Other resources include the GAC’s ArtsMobile.
This key role is part of the GAC’s decision to consolidate and grow its community arts delivery and we are offering a full-time five-year contract with a view to taking this Community Arts Programme to another level. This role is supported by the Lloyds TSB Foundation for the Channel Islands
Job description and application pack can be obtained from Lucienne De La Mare, HR Officer, Guernsey Information Centre, North Esplanade, St Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 2LQ.
