The HSSD is offering the public a chance to visit the new Oberlands Centre on Saturday 21st November 2015. This is a great chance for you to see some of the artwork that we have been installing over the last few weeks. See the press release from the HSSD below for all details:
Members of the public are invited to come and visit the Oberlands Centre on Saturday 21 November 2015 from 10am to 2pm. Everyone is welcome and there will be the opportunity during the Open Day to have a look around the new Centre.
On Sunday 22 November, we are also hosting a service user orientation day, again from 10am to 2pm. On Sunday, we would encourage service users and their relatives to come and view the two new inpatient units which will be known as Tautenay and Crévichon, as well having a more general look around the new Centre too.
Ruby Parry, Director of Communities said:
“We would like to encourage everyone to come along to our Open Day at the Oberlands Centre on Saturday 21 November. It is good opportunity for anyone who would like to have a look around the Centre to do that, between 10am and 2pm. Beacon’s Café will be open for the first time to provide a warm welcome, friendly service and the local blend of coffee, Bean 14.”
“The completion and opening of this Centre is so important to our community and represents a significant change for the way mental health services will be perceived and provided in the future.”
“Anyone who sees the Centre will very quickly value and appreciate what a difference this space and its facilities will make to the lives of anyone at any time who is in need support, wellbeing and recovery.”
“We are also hosting a service user orientation day on Sunday 22 November. This will be specifically for service users and their relatives to find out about the Centre and its accommodation units, Tautenay and Crévichon, as the new inpatient facilities will be known. During the orientation day, service users specifically will also be able to have a general look around in smaller groups with a bit more space and time.”
