This weekend is all about poetry, as Poems on the Buses 4 officially launches.
Nearly 500 entries from all over the world were judged by Gabriel Griffin, the founder and organizer of the Poetry on the Lake Competition, festival and events on Lake Orta. And the time has finally come for the 33 winning poems to now be placed on 33 of the Island Coachways fleet.
Saturday 4 December
The Poems on the Buses weekend will start on Saturday with the competitions overall winner Caroline Carver providing a free poetry reading at Les Cotils. This event will start at 2.00pm and last about 45 minutes.
At 3.00pm Caroline will be leading a poetry workshop, this workshop is limited to 10 places and there is a cost of £8.00 to take part. Places can be booked through Poems on Buses Workshop The workshop will finish at 5.00pm and is at Les Cotils.
Sunday 5 December
On Sunday 5 December from 4.00pm is the official launch party for Poems on the Buses 4. This will take place at the Buse Terminus in St Peter Port. The event is free and we will be serving mulled wine. So why not come down and join us to see and hear the winning poetry.
