Paul Staples exhibition opens 18th April

“Why don’t you get a proper job?” was the answer that Paul Staple’s father gave to him when he expressed an interest in set design at a young age.

The next exhibition opening on Friday 18 April will be a retrospective of Paul Staple’s work as part of Guernsey Arts Commission’s Design Matters programme. Paul, known locally for running the Fermaine Tavern, will be showing models, drawings and photographs from his large stage shows for such artists as Elton John, Freddie Mercury and Rod Stewart as well as concepts for the Hong Kong handover, the opening ceremony of the Channel Tunnel and shows in Red Square.

For free entry to the greenhouse and Candie Museum do join us for the private view on Thursday 17 April at 5.30pm to 7.30pm.
