Paul Staples: Designer Talk – Levers, Wheels, Men and Ropes
As part of the final weekend of the Paul Staples exhibition ‘A Proper Job?’ Paul is giving a free talk looking over a career that has included designing sets for high profile theatre and operatic productions, Las Vegas revues and some of the most significant rock bands of the last four decades. Paul has worked with some of the greats including Freddie Mercury (Queen), Pink Floyd, Elton John, Neil Diamond and more recently Take That and Rod Stewart.Other work includes concepts for the Hong Kong handover, the opening ceremony of the Channel Tunnel and shows in Red Square. Paul will be looking back at how he worked and how the industry has changed. He will also be giving us a chance to ask questions about his fascinating history of work.
Saturday 21st June –
