Meet the RoadTrip Artists part 3

Antonia Ramsey is a recent graduate from Fine Art: Critical Practice at Brighton University. The course emphasises the equal importance of theory and making. Antonia’s recent work has been using a combination of toys and illustration to explore ideas around the adult’s relationship to childhood and theories around the ‘correct’ socialisation of children. Antonia says she is, “Particularly interested in the absurd and illogical nature of imagination and how this can be seen in dreams. I like creating characters and situations that couldn’t really exist such as half octopus men, flying eyeballs and frogs being carried by lily pad zeppelins. Humour is an important feature of my work.”
