HUGO THE EXILE EXHIBITION

The world premiere of a new exhibition by French/Slovenian photographer Klavdij Sluban, who takes us through an exploration of Victor Hugo’s Exile in Guernsey. Mounted in association with the Guernsey Photography Festival and Maison de Victor Hugo, Paris.   Plus Foyer display on Crime & Punishment in Victorian Guernsey in the Brian White gallery.

Commissioned by the Guernsey Photography Festival with the support of Paris Museums, Maisons de Victor Hugo Guernsey/Paris, Guernsey Arts Commission and Norman Piette Ltd.

This FREE Seafront Sunday event is the biggest celebration of the arts in Guernsey. Come and join in the fun. There is a HUGE amount of things to see and do on the day for all ages. There are 4 main stages with acts throughout the day: Dance, Theatre, Acoustic and the Styx music stage. As well as an Arts Market with over 50 stalls offering local handmade items, workshops and other various items. They’ll also be a wide selection of food, including a BBQ.

30 Years of the Fox

A fascinating evening of information and anecdotes from over 30 years of the Fox Channel Island Art Competition. This illustrated presentation will be hosted by JJ Fox International’s Curator of Art Mark Blanchard and promises to educate all manor of island artists, young and old, realistic and abstract to the reasons why so many paintings are continually successful in this prestigious annual event.

 

GUERNSEY CLASSIC CAR & BIKE SHOW
