THE FISH MARKET SERIES EXHIBITION

Open until 16 January 2015

An exhibition by artist Eric Snell – Inspired by the carved lines found in the granite floor of the old 19th century Fish Market in St Peter Port, Eric Snell has produced a new series of work on paper that goes on show at the Coach-house Gallery until mid January.

ODDSOCKS – WIND IN THE WILLOWS

Join Mole, Ratty, Badger and the boisterous, bumptious, loud and loveable toad as the adventure of a lifetime unravels on the riverbank. Watch out for the dangerous weasels, stoats and ferrets from the wild wood along the way! Live music, hilarious comedy and exciting adventure from the ever popular Oddsocks as they turn their inimitable, clever and funny hands to this classic tale of boats, cars, trains and washerwomen! 7.30pm at St James Concert & Assembly Hall. NATIONAL THEATRE LIVE – TREASURE ISLAND

Robert Louis Stevenson’s story of murder, money and mutiny is brought to life in a thrilling new stage adaptation by Bryony Lavery, broadcast live from the National Theatre. 7pm at the Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts Theatre. GUERNSEY MUSIC CENTRE WINTER CONCERT

The Guernsey Music Centre Winter Concert featuring Youth Wind Band, Youth Training Orchestra and Intermediate Choir. The Youth Wind Band is conducted by James Hatton, the Youth Training Orchestra by Michael Sullivan and the Intermediate Choir by Rachel Wright. Their varied programme includes extracts from peter and the Wolf, Queen in Concert, and Bridge over Troubled Water. 7:30pm St. James Concert Hall, Tickets £8 (£7 FGMC), £4 senior citizens, students free, £4 restricted view.

GUERNSEY MUSIC CENTRE WINTER CONCERT

The Guernsey Music Centre Winter Concert featuring the Guernsey Youth Orchestra, Concert Wind Band, Youth Choir and Flute Choir. The Youth Orchestra is conducted by Mervyn Grand, The Concert Wind Band by Liz Courtney and the Youth Choir by Rachel Wright. Their varied programme includes the beautiful Rachmaninov ‘Vocalise’ (featuring John Cordall, solo cello) and extracts from ‘Porgy and Bess’. St James Concert, 7:30pm.

Join the Guernsey Arts Commission at the greenhouse gallery at Guernsey Musuem, Candie, for the private view of Public Art: Part 3 exhibition. Public Art: Part 3 will look at what strides have been made over the last few years on-island and show some spectacular solutions to creating captivating public spaces.
