Introducing… Brandi Dawson

Intorducing… Brandi Dawson

Headshot (2)

I am the Director & Choreographer of ‘B Creative Dance’ in Guernsey which started in November 2010.

Dancing has always been something I have been passionate about, having taken various dance classes throughout my life the next step was to develop my skills further. I gained a Musical Theatre Diploma from Studios La Pointe College Leeds, and ISTD teaching qualifications in Tap and Modern.

I moved to London to gain more experience and worked with companies DC49 and Twitch. Moving on to Spain to be a backing dancer for a female Michael Jackson Tribute Act with company RJP Ents.

More recently I became ADPA level 4 Street Dance Qualified with Urban Strides and gained Distinction.

I have danced and taught many dance styles over the years, I hope that my Hip Hop influence and knowledge encourage youngsters, teens and adults to get a feel for it, have fun and keep fit and healthy.

The person who has influenced me in person is Andy Instone founder of Urban Strides. His passions and knowledge for Hip Hop culture and teaching is incredible! He has taught me so much. I go to the UK once or twice a year to participate in ‘Hip Hop Don’t Stop’ working with pioneers in the Hip Hop World – this is always a fantastic opportunity to broaden my knowledge and keep up with the authentic dance styles and latest Hip Hop moves.

Other influences come from dancers, Don Campbell ‘Campbellock’, Michael Jackson, Diversity etc.
