Apex has a huge energy and a love of performance. He is a regularly spotted character in recent years representing Guernsey’s Hip Hop scene.
His introduction to the Asylum Seekas line up added another element to go with the inimitable styles of Jimi Riddlz & DJ Minirol.
Most often found at ‘The Get Down’ nights at Fermain, you may have also seen Apex at the Vale Earth Fair, Guernsey Festival, The Townhouse and other local events and venues, throwing hard lyrics and frantic politician-esque hand gestures.
In 2012 Asylum Seekas released “The Chronicles of Sarnia – Mixed by DJ Four-Q”, a free mixtape featuring other local Hip Hop artists, Volume 2 is in planning at the moment, and anyone wanting to get involved is asked to get in touch via the Asylum Seekas Facebook page.
After a brief experience in the UK rap battle scene (The Wackest Link Winner & still reigning Channel Island Champion) he is now producing and mixing tracks for the next release (due Autumn 2014).
THIS Saturday is Urban Arts Day. You will be able to come and talk to some of Guernsey’s most talented urban artists, dancers and sports people and you will be able to help create some amazing artwork, show us your best dance moves or shoot some hoops!
