The Guernsey Arts Commission has been able to develop the arts strategically in Guernsey through public funding, corporate sponsorship and generous donations by philanthropic individuals. Now, more than ever, we rely on the continuing support of our patrons to help us develop this work in taking Guernsey’s arts and cultural life to the next level.
Guernsey Art Commission, to complement its existing funding strategy, has created a Guild Membership Scheme which will allow support and contributions to be made in the following ways:
£3,000 per year commitment over five years
£5,000 per year commitment over three years
£25,000 one-off, lifetime commitment
In the next phase of the Guernsey Arts Commission’s work, our mission is to deliver the following key objectives: To develop creative talent in Guernsey To maximise social and cultural value To promote cultural exchange To support creative industries.
Guernsey Art Commission is a registered charity; our work is crucially supported by individuals and corporate partners, as well as trusts and foundations. We are extremely grateful to those who, since the Commission’s inception, have already supported our work and still do.
The Guild Scheme will offer an additional way in which the work of the GAC can be supported and it does offer benefits to membership, namely; Association with Guernsey’s central and leading arts organisation Networking opportunities with local and internationally recognised artists, government and creative businesses Invitations to GAC private viewings and artist/curator led exhibition tours, social activities, lectures and fundraising activities Corporate hospitality for clients and guests Fulfilment of your philanthropic and corporate social responsibility Brand recognition and promotion opportunities for your company, trust or foundation Membership to the Guernsey Arts Commission mailing list, with exclusives throughout the year
The foundations we have created thus far are paving the way for our plans to: Build a major educational bursary scheme, nurturing local talent Deliver a wide programme of engagement through our Community Arts Team Establish Development Manager roles across all areas of the arts including public art, and performing arts Develop cultural programmes that elevate Guernsey on a global scale Support creative businesses and help to nurture a thriving creative economy.
