Guernsey Arts Commission begin installing artwork at Oberlands

It’s a big week for Guernsey Arts Commission…

GAC has been working with service users to create artwork for the new mental health build, Oberlands. After a year of working with departments and individuals to create artwork, the install is finally underway!

We delivered workshops with MIND, on Sarnia ward and at the Youth Commission’s ‘Quiet Club’, which is for young people who access CAMHS. The artwork produced at the ‘Quiet Club’ has been the inspiration for the final design of a mural for the waiting area at Mignot House where CAMHS will be based. Below are some of the original figures that were designed by the service users, which were then local artist Hugh Rose used as inspiration to design the final mural.
