The Guernsey Arts Commission and Twist Records are giving local musicians the chance to share their music with the world.
The Guernsey Arts Commission’s Music Sub-Committee and Twist Records are happy to announce the that they are now accepting tracks for a third volume of the GBG local music compilation CD.
Following the success of GBG Vol.2, which was released in the first half 2010, they hope to showcase a broad cross section of music produced and performed by acts from within the Bailiwick.
Once compiled the CDs will be distributed via Twist Records to various places around the world and tracks from Vol. 2 gained interest from as far afield as Sweden and the USA.
Vol. 2 featured 21 tracks by 21 artists across two CDs spanning everything from ambient dance to modern metal, and taking in hip-hop, pop, and rock between.
Submissions can be made by filling in the form and returning it to Mark Le Gallez at Twist Records along with a picture of the band and a brief biography either by email or by post.
The Music Sub-Committee will be holding a series of fundraisers to cover the costs of producing the CD in the coming months showcasing a selection of the artists featured on Volume 2 alongside new and upcoming bands from the islands.
