The Arts Commission is calling for proposals for summer arts activities such as workshops and exhibitions in the greenhouse at the Information Centre, which is now available following the contemporary art gallery’s move to Candie. We are open to ideas across a wide spectrum of performing and visual arts projects which engage the public in one way or another. Consideration for selection will include:
- The content and quality of the activity proposed
- What the artist or arts organisation will achieve through using the space
- How local residents including children, young people and adults, are involved
Proposals are welcomed for 4-5 days of activity during the week as many of the weekends will be taken up with Seafront Sundays. However, shorter events or longer projects will also be considered. The greenhouse will be free of charge to both the organisation using the space and to the public for accessing the activities. Projects will need to be self contained, and managed and promoted by the organisation involved. The light and airy gallery will be available from mid May through to August.
Initial proposals are welcomed by 12th May. Please contact Caroline Corfe on [email protected] or 01481 709748 for further details.
