Busking is back on the streets of St Peter Port

The Guernsey Arts Commission and the Culture and Leisure Department are pleased to announce that busking will be returing to the street of St Peter Port for 2011 with the continuation of the busking scheme that has been running for the past two summers.

Eight new sites around Town have been opened up to buskers for this year, thanks to the St Peter Port constables, and the use of small battery amps is allowed at all sites to help balance instrument sounds.

As well as this the hours for busking have been extended so you can now get out and play around Town between 10am and 7pm Monday to Saturday as well on Liberation Day and the Seafront Sunday closures (please see information in the Busking Pack).

If you want to busk simply download the pack and return the information to Bernie Besnard, Guernsey Information Centre, North Esplanade,
St Peter Port, GY1 2LQ, or, if you were involved in the scheme last year, simply email bernie.besnard@cultureleisure.gov.gg and he can reissue a permit.
