To support the launch of our new pilot project at the PEH which provides gentle art activities for patients while they undergo chemotherapy, we are displaying a series of paintings created by the service users at The Christie Hospital, UK (Europe’s Largest Cancer Centre)
Patricia Mountford ‘Resident Artist’ at The Christie Hospital kindly gave her time to visit Guernsey, train local artists, launch the exhibition and support the first Oncology workshop.
On Thursday the 29th May we held a preview night for the exhibition and Patricia Mountford gave a walk through of the work and then a talk, followed by a talk from Nicky Colclough, ‘Resident Artist’ at the PEH.
The exhibition contains a wide range of work from landscapes, portaits, and paintings of animals and flowers. The work demonstrates the exceptional quality that can be created in a healthcare setting.
The exhibition is in the main corridor in the PEH. If you would like to see it, enter the hospital through the main entrance with the Porters Lodge and turn left.
